Gender Netural Pronouns

This week, Meriam Webster Dictionary announced that the pronoun “they” may be used in the singular. The purpose is to offer a gender-neutral pronoun. The debate among legal scholars has been robust.


These are examples of how sentences can be re-written to avoid a gender pronoun.
“New” is relative. These pronouns have actually been in use for many years, but recent, heightened awareness of gender respect has brought them to the limelight.
I am often surprised at the lack of awareness among young adults, regarding gender issues.
